WHATS NEW BLOGGIE LOVES?

Hi everyone!

I'm back once again.  I've been reading all of your posts - just have been slacking on the comments.  What's new with all of you?

Kyle and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary on Wednesday.  We went away for the weekend to a hotel outside of Philadelphia.  Even better, it was next to King of Prussia Mall!  We are still house hunting, and we actually found one that we really like.  I already looked at it, but now Kyle is going to look at it with me on Thursday.

Work is going well.  It keeps me very busy and exhausted.  Well, here are just some pictures of what I've been into recently.

Ready to go out for our anniversary dinner at Cheesecake Factory on Saturday night (I've always wanted to go there)

Perv! He was taking me to work

Happy Anniversary (May 25th)

Ultimate Red Velvet Cake Cheesecake with white chocolate chips and whipped cream!
Most delicious red velvet I've ever had!!! Bree @ .Simply.Girly. I know you will appreciate this!! =)

That's all for now.  Back to reality/work for me tonight.  Hope all is well with everyone in blog-land!

Going on a mini-vacation to NY

Since I managed to get a week off work without taking PTO, I convinced Kyle the we need a vacation.  FYI: I deserve the week off since I worked 48hours in 4 days.  Can't believe he agreed, because when I usually want to do something like this he says helllll no.  Must be doing something right lol.  Long story short we will be going to this resort/casino/spa in middle of no where New York this weekend.  It's called The Lodge at Turning Stone.  It seems pretty nice. We were between here, Atlantic City, and Philly. Of course I picked the one farthest away.  In other news, we are in the process of saving money/house hunting.  Kyle convinced me it's more worthwhile for us to buy a house instead of renting an apartment.  Now I spend my free time looking at houses and things to fill them with on-line.

More pictures to come.

Tonight we will be going to an arena football game with Kyle's brother, his wife and their friends. We have season tickets & go every year.

Anyone have anything planned for the weekend?

Back to blonde & Valentine's Day

Haven't posted in a while, so just some updates on me.

On Thursday I got my hair hi-lighted back to blonde.  I'm loving it.  I have had a sore throat/cough for about a week now, and its finally starting to lighten up a little bit.

I had to work on Valentine's Day, so Kyle & I celebrated Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.  On Saturday morning, he surprised me with a box of yummy cupcakes.  I had been craving red velvet, so he made sure he got a couple of those along with chocolate (can't go wrong with that).

Later in the day Saturday, we exchanged gifts and I took him out for dinner at Ruby Tuesday's (We didn't feel like waiting an hour to eat somewhere else). Sunday afternoon, he took me to the movies to see "No Strings Attached", which was pretty good.  Perfect for Valentine's.  I had to work on the real Valentine's Day (Monday), but I met him at work during the day, and he took me out to lunch.  When I usually meet him for lunch, we just go somewhere close by, but this time he surprised me and took me to Quiznos.  HOW ROMANTIC.  Not really, but we got to spend more time together than our usual lunch.

The pictures are from my iPhone.  They're not the greatest, then again my mom isn't much of a photographer either.
Saturday, before dinner

I got him a pair of Oakley sunglasses (he picked them out), a picture frame w| our picture in it, and Reese's Peanut Butter Hearts. (I felt kind of shitty because his gifts were way better than mine, but Valentine's Day is a girl holiday anyways)

He really, really surprised me with this one.  He had the purse gift wrapped in a big box, and inside the purse was the cd & dvd.  I was also really surprised about them being wrapped, which usually never happens.  I didn't even think he knew what Dooney & Bourke was or that I like some of the purses.  I had no idea about any of these gifts.  I love the purse, especially since the inside is red.  Perfect!

Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day, even though I'm a little late.

you're the adenosine to my supraventricular tachycardia

Nothing new with me.  I've just been in ECG class all week, which is fine by me because it's easy and it's during the day.  Our hospital has been surged for forever now, so I volunteered to work tomorrow after my class.  Surged means we have a high influx of patients if you didn't know, so many patients in fact that some of the nurses had 8 patients when we are used to having 5 to 6.  How is caring for 8 patients even safe.  Everyone is in the hospital for a purpose (because they are not medically stable to be at home), so they need the care they deserve nothing less.  Ok, that's the end of my rant.  I'm off to study for my test tomorrow.

Peace out Girl Scouts (I can't believe I just said that)
Have a good Friday/weekend!

one hot outfit

Pajamas in public.

I wore this to the bank the other day because it was closing and I was just going through the drive-thru.  I was mortified when my neighbor saw me walking out of my house like this.  Now that I think about it though, I probably fit in with all the hood rats that live around me. People will actually wear stuff like this to the mall, wal-mart, etc.  It is comfy, but I would rather sacrifice my comfort for style. This look = not cute.

MERRY [belated] CHRISTMAS

Hope everyone had a good holiday!!! We had a good Christmas.  On Christmas Eve Kyle came over earlier in the day time and he surprised me with yellow red & pink roses.  We usually can't wait to exchange gifts, so we typically open our gifts from eachother by Christmas Eve -- We couldn't wait this year either.  That night we went to my aunt's house for a little, but then we had to go shopping because Kyle still needed to buy gifts for a few people.  My brother was surprised on Christmas morning when he opened the LCD flat screen tv I bought him.  After we opened gifts at our house, we went back to my aunt's with the rest of my family.  Then after that we went to my grandmother's house to eat.  Later that night, Kyle, his friend, friend's "lady-friend", and I went to the movies (We go to the movies on Christmas every year).  Hope everyone had a good Christmas.  While you all are out on New Years Eve, you can think of me because I will be at work.

Its official, I am God..better yet a GODDESS.

Had a crazy night/morning at work today, so I thought I would share.  Honestly, crazy doesn't begin to explain it but I digress.  I had 6 patients total.  Minutes away from a Code Blue, I was running to get one of my patients a stat med when one of my other patients called me into his room because he wanted to tell me something but I told him I would be right back.  I gave the medication to my patient in respiratory distress, and her breathing was still horrible.  We were waiting to transfer the patient to the ICU but it was taking forever to get her an ICU bed.  Finally, a bed opened up and we got her off our unit.  When I walked into my other patients room to see what he wanted, he told me to hold his hands, he looked me straight in the eye and said, "I POOPED!"  (He had not pooped in a week and was constipated, so I gave him magnesium citrate to drink about 6 hours prior to this) I was like God to him because I was the one who gave him the magnesium citrate drink.  So shhhhh, no one tell him the doctor was the one who ordered it because I'm taking the credit for this one.  I love my job.
